Following a significant, multi-year investment plan in machinery and factories, we are delighted to confirm that we have recently secured a Standard National Operator’s License. This upgrade represents a major maturation in our logistics capabilities, aligning our transport compliance with the highest industry standards.
To support this solid and sustainable growth, we have simultaneously expanded our fleet, acquiring seven more tractor units and 10 more trailer units.
Having previously operated with a Restricted Operator’s License, this upgrade removes commercial restrictions on our logistics. It allows us to take a significant step forward in optimising the movement of corrugated board from our Henstridge corrugator site to our Sherborne and Yeovil converting facilities—and crucially, provides us with greater flexibility in how we service our customers.
“We are now unshackled, ready for the next phase of growth within our business,” says Jack Lloyd, Managing Director. “With the new Latitude mid-line and mini-line flexo converting lines and the seven-colour Dong Fang rotary die-cutter at Sherborne, we are producing significantly more printed and finished corrugated cardboard boxes.
“Securing the Standard National License ensures our transport infrastructure is as robust as our manufacturing capability. It means our expanded fleet can operate with total commercial freedom, allowing us to increase delivery frequency to our own sites as well as to customers nationwide, driving the business forward significantly over the coming years.”
